About Tru by Hilton:
Tru by Hilton has this fun, energetic vibe—clean lines, sharp branding, and a very intentional experience for today’s traveler. So when they came to us, the lighting couldn’t be just “good enough.” It had to make a statement the second guests pulled up.
Project Details:
We were brought in to develop an exterior lighting solution that could hold its own visually, stand up to the elements, and hit budget. Basically, it needed to look high-end, perform long-term, and not break the bank. That’s our wheelhouse.
Innovative Design:
We built a circular surface-mount LED fixture from scratch—ETL rated for wet locations, multiple sizes available, and outputting 3000+ lumens. This thing wasn’t just decorative—it delivered real, functional light while looking clean and modern.
Attention-Grabbing Aesthetics:
The design goal was clear: guests needed to remember what greeted them at the door. We cycled through several prototypes to get it right—proportions, finishes, lensing—every detail mattered to create that high-impact first impression.
Material Studies and Prototyping:
There’s no shortcut here. We tested everything: materials, coatings, finish durability, lens performance, and weather resistance. Dozens of samples went through review before we hit the final spec—one that looked premium and could actually last.
Cost-Effective Engineering:
The end product wasn’t just good—it was efficient. We reverse-engineered the system to reduce cost without giving up quality. Same photometric output, same design intent, just optimized to align with Tru’s budget model.
Impact:
This fixture became more than just lighting—it’s now part of the guest experience. Clean, modern, and intentionally visible. It delivers that “wow” when you drive up and sets the tone for what Tru by Hilton wants its guests to feel. It’s a solid example of what happens when design and engineering are in sync with the brand.
