About Concord Sky:
Concord Sky is a major statement in Toronto’s skyline—tall, bold, and architecturally refined. When you’re working on a project designed by KPF, expectations are sky-high—literally. Our role at Ideoli is to match that ambition with real-world lighting technology that performs and scales.
Project Details:
We’re engineering a fully custom RGBW linear fixture system for the facade. This isn’t just about lighting up a building—it’s about enabling the building to communicate. Lighting becomes a platform for interaction, branding, and identity.
Engineering the Right Fixture:
We’re not retrofitting off-the-shelf parts here. These fixtures are purpose-built for Concord Sky. They’ve got to survive Toronto’s winter and still look flawless in summer heat. We’re using robust exterior-grade materials, tight IP ratings, and precision optics to ensure the visual output hits the mark day in, day out.
Smart Control, Smarter Integration:
The lighting system ties into a mobile-app-controlled backend. It allows full DMX-style customization—messaging, patterns, seasonal colorways—all programmable in real time. It’s about putting creative control in the client’s hands with a toolset that’s as flexible as it is reliable.
What We’re Building Toward:
Once the tower lights up, the goal is clear: make Concord Sky impossible to ignore at night. From major holidays to local events, this building becomes a canvas. And we’re making sure the tech backbone can keep up with that vision.
Impact (Expected):
This isn’t just a lighting job—it’s a chance to redefine how urban high-rises interact with the people who live in and around them. Our job at Ideoli is to solve the hard problems so the outcome looks effortless. When this is done, Concord Sky won’t just be tall—it’ll be iconic.
