About The Lofts at Carlsbad Village:
The Lofts at Carlsbad Village is a clean, modern residential space that needed lighting with impact—not just to look good, but to serve the space intelligently. The interiors are polished, the community areas are dialed in, and our job was to make the lighting echo that same standard.
Project Details:
The client asked us to transform the main atrium—one of the most visible and trafficked areas of the building. Our approach focused on delivering a multi-fixture solution that hit all the right notes: visually striking, functional, and aligned with the architectural flow of the space.
Central Teardrop Chandelier:
We started by anchoring the room with a custom teardrop chandelier. Suspended from the ceiling, it became the visual anchor. Clean geometry, high-output LED, and polished fabrication gave it just the right presence without overwhelming the space.
Layered Fixture Strategy:
To round out the space, we brought in three more fixture types to create lighting layers and texture:
A sleek, ultra-modern LED chandelier added directional contrast.
Wall-mounted sconces—classic in design—delivered ambient warmth around seating areas.
Surface-mount fixtures were engineered to float subtly overhead, giving off a soft glow that created the feel of a cloud ceiling.
Each fixture served a purpose. Each fixture played a role. That’s the kind of system we design—cohesive, deliberate, and built around how the space is actually used.
Custom Fit and Execution:
We didn’t pull this off with catalog lights. We customized everything to suit the space dimensions, visual targets, and user traffic patterns. From lumen distribution to mounting strategy, every component was tailored to fit and function exactly as needed.
