Bonnet Springs Park:
Bonnet Springs Park down in Lakeland, Florida, is all about reconnecting people with nature. It’s a big, green space full of walking paths, open lawns, and water features—designed for community, sustainability, and education. When we came on board, the mission was to bring something bold to the indoor areas without disrupting the natural vibe.
Project Details:
We were tasked with building oversized light fixtures that looked like yarn balls. Sounds playful—and it is—but this was no art school project. These fixtures had to look clean, tie into a wood ceiling, hold up in high humidity, and perform like commercial-grade lighting.
Unique Lighting Design:
We built them big and built them tough. The outer look had to be soft and natural, but behind the scenes, these are engineered pieces. They’re consistent in light output, and they slot right into the overall design like they were always meant to be there.
Durability and Resilience:
Florida heat, moisture, time—none of that could be a factor. So we overbuilt these to handle it. Internal structure prevents any sagging or shape loss, and the materials were tested for long-term durability in a harsh climate. They weren’t just designed to work—they were designed to keep working.
Seamless Integration:
Mounting, finish, ceiling connections—every detail had to blend in. No Frankenstein installs. We made sure the fit was clean and the install was straightforward, which matters when you’re working in a public space like this.
